I grew up in Illinois, lived in Chicago after graduating college and during Acupuncture school, and currently find myself at home in the Carolinas. 

My background is varied and includes community organizing and non-profit, human rights and environment, education/youth development, early childhood education, massage & bodywork, and acupuncture and herbal medicine.  I am currently delving deeper into plant and ecological knowledge now that I am in one of the most biodiverse regions in the US. I am participating in an herbal apprenticeship at a school in Asheville as I deepen my familiarity with plant medicine and gardening beyond my experience in Chinese Medicine school.

I love to be outside and enjoy communing with nature whenever I can, tending to my creative side, game nights, and a good fire; and the Midwesterner introvert in me loves a relaxing night in reading a book, listening to music, or watching a movie.
