I grew up in Illinois, lived in Chicago after graduating with my B.A. and when attending acupuncture school, and currently find myself at home in the Carolinas.
My background is varied and includes community organizing and non-profit, human rights and environment, education/youth development, early childhood education, massage & bodywork, and Chinese herbal medicine. I am enjoying delving deeper into plant and ecological knowledge now that I am in one of the most biodiverse regions in the US.
I believe it is of vital importance to investigate health and wellness through a multidimensional perspective with the intention of healing and empowerment of the whole being within a greater interpersonal, familial, ecological, historical and general collective context.
I love to be outside and enjoy communing with and being active in nature whenever I can, tending to my creative side, leaning into humor, creating community, joining game nights and bonfires; and the Midwesterner introvert in me loves a good night in reading a book, listening to music, or watching a movie. I also love to travel.
I recently finished my doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and am so excited to begin working with those additional tools.
Thanks for being here. I am glad to connect!
